Mechanically ran very good. Good on fuel. Not so clean when picked up.
Easy to drive. Everything you needed was supplied. Had a great time
1 STAR TAKEN OFF BECAUSE WE NEARLY KNOCKED OURSELVES OUT BUMPING OUR HEAD MOVING FROM VAN TO COCKPIT
The vehicle was well appointed. It took a very short time to work out the appliances for both 12V and 240V when staying at a caravan park. The vehicle was extremely economical and was a breeze to drive. I was worried about storage space for bags, however this was not the case under the double bed at the back of the van. If anything, the fridge could be slightly larger, however space is a premium.
The Sandpiper was a great layout to use for our touring holiday in Tasmania. Great to be able to use the rotating driver/passenger seats which made best use of space. However would appreciate a padded edge to the front driving area as the lower headroom and higher floor area made numerous ‘ouch’ dents to my head during the journey. Didn’t use shower at all, would have preferred a hinged wash basin and somewhere to put toiletries rather than tiny cube in corner. Wonder if you might also fit an engine water heater as these have been invaluable in previous hires. Lack of reversing camera was also high on list of wants. Perhaps kitchen equipment could include a measuring jug, didn’t find use for potato masher! Desert spoons would have been preferable to Soup spoons! Even so, it was still a great vehicle and enjoyable to drive. I’m ready for more campervan holidays - bring them on.
great to drive excellent fuel economy only bed to high to get in and out could provide a plastic step or perhaps a fold up one like some stools have all in all we had a great holiday and will hire again to go to perth next year thank you
Concern that the gas cylinder and compartment smelled very strongly of gas throughout the trip. Did not use the gas at all regarding this concern. The date attached to the gas cylinder was also over three years old, which was highly concerning. The vehicle itself was comfortable to drive, but reverse parking was very difficult, even with the mirrors. The removal of waste water, was not clear as pages were missing from the vehicle manual. It was difficult in finding how to find and use the window covers as this was not covered in the manual. Overall though, a nice vehicle.
Easy to drive and comfortable for two over an 8 day trip!
everything was fine except there needed to be a footstool to get up and down from the bed. Also there were no wine glasses
Vehicle fine. Nice to drive. Like the auto (or manual) gearbox. Comfy inside.
Our experience was great! A comfortable clean and economical vehicle. We travelled from the Central Coast to Tamworth, Moree, Roma, Tambo, Longreach, Emerald, Rockhampton, Childers, Burleigh Heads, Iluka, Southwest Rocks and back home. A round trip of approx 4,374 kms round trip. We took a small plastic step to help us get in and out of the bed.
Great van to drive, plenty of power and space. Unfortunately our airconditioner didnt work and tv had no signal.
The vehicle was as new and easy to drive and well fitted out and economical to run
New. Looked good but as a 72 year old female with a bad back, I could not open and close the windows as they were too stiff. I thought it a bad design but the bed was comfortable. You need to know when you hire one of these vehicles that you have limited places to park. We went to Hobart. It was too busy and were advised not to take the vehicle. So left with public transport.
