16 Reviews for Cruisin Sandpiper recently

Create size for us & for navigating the windy roads in Tasmania. Also the convenience of having a kitchen & toilet & shower was great. Van was clean & mattress was comfortable. Only missing a diesel heater, as we could only using the powered heater at powered campsites.
A wonderful holiday from beginning to end. Great van with all we needed. Perfect for 2 people, incredibly comfortable, easy to drive and well equipped. We will definitely be booking again!
Very good orientation and helpful friendly service at the Cruisin depot in Brisbane. The van was easy to drive and in excellent condition. A couple of the cupboard door stays were broken - not a major issue. We read in reviews that only two toilet tablets are provided so we got some ourselves before pickup. It would be helpful if Cruisin had them for sale at the time of pickup.
Driving vehicle is no problem although it is easy to set engine light if not very careful
The vehicle was very easy to drive and I had no difficulty in maneuvering the city roads or highways. There was plenty of room once everything was in place, however I had seen a Sandpiper previously that had a small hanging space for clothes. This newer van did not have hanging space but for a 1 week trip this was fine. The fuel economy was marvelous and will make my 4 month trip very economical.
The 2 berth motorhome ( Sandpiper) we hired recently from Cruisin Eagle Farm Brisbane for a 10 day road trip had everything we needed. It was well set out, and the double bed could be left as it is and not have to convert it to a table/dining area each stop. The swivel chairs from the drivers cab to the dining was excellent. The only downside was no awning at the stops. There were some minor maintenance issues, like screens, windows etc, but otherwise, a great little 2 berth home for 10 days. It drove well, with 6 speed diesel, and fuel economy was excellent, which we worked out at 11klm per litre.
Very comfortable for 2 and very easy to drive
Awesome for 2 adults, comfortable and warm even during a wet, cold and windy Tasmania in December. 10 litres /100km made for a fuel efficient trip and looking forward to planning our next trip.
Good. No problems with the vehicle.
Mechanically ran very good. Good on fuel. Not so clean when picked up.
Easy to drive. Everything you needed was supplied. Had a great time
The vehicle was well appointed. It took a very short time to work out the appliances for both 12V and 240V when staying at a caravan park. The vehicle was extremely economical and was a breeze to drive. I was worried about storage space for bags, however this was not the case under the double bed at the back of the van. If anything, the fridge could be slightly larger, however space is a premium.
The Sandpiper was a great layout to use for our touring holiday in Tasmania. Great to be able to use the rotating driver/passenger seats which made best use of space. However would appreciate a padded edge to the front driving area as the lower headroom and higher floor area made numerous ‘ouch’ dents to my head during the journey. Didn’t use shower at all, would have preferred a hinged wash basin and somewhere to put toiletries rather than tiny cube in corner. Wonder if you might also fit an engine water heater as these have been invaluable in previous hires. Lack of reversing camera was also high on list of wants. Perhaps kitchen equipment could include a measuring jug, didn’t find use for potato masher! Desert spoons would have been preferable to Soup spoons! Even so, it was still a great vehicle and enjoyable to drive. I’m ready for more campervan holidays - bring them on.
great to drive excellent fuel economy only bed to high to get in and out could provide a plastic step or perhaps a fold up one like some stools have all in all we had a great holiday and will hire again to go to perth next year thank you
Concern that the gas cylinder and compartment smelled very strongly of gas throughout the trip. Did not use the gas at all regarding this concern. The date attached to the gas cylinder was also over three years old, which was highly concerning. The vehicle itself was comfortable to drive, but reverse parking was very difficult, even with the mirrors. The removal of waste water, was not clear as pages were missing from the vehicle manual. It was difficult in finding how to find and use the window covers as this was not covered in the manual. Overall though, a nice vehicle.
