This document contains a summary of some of the Rental Conditions. For full detailed Conditions refer to the Rental Agreement on pick-up.

NOTE

• Our Alice Springs, Broome and Darwin branches are closed during the wet season (01 December to 31 March). During this time roads are muddy and hard to navigate and for safety reasons, we strongly recommend that guests avoid travelling to the top end of Australia during this time.

Getting to and from the Airport

• Most branches are located near major airports, making pick-up and drop-off easy for our guests. Guests can arrange transport to and from the airport via taxi or rideshare at their own cost.

Vehicle Pick-Ups and Drop-Offs:

Customers picking up or dropping off vehicle must be at the branch by 3:00pm.

Vehicle Restrictions

The 4WD Safari Auto is only available to or from  Alice Springs, Brisbane, Broome, Cairns, Darwin and Perth.

The Maverick and Warrior are not available to or from Hobart

The 4WD Outback is only available to or from Adelaide, Alice Springs, Broome, Darwin, Melbourne and Perth.

The 4WD  Safari Auto is only available for travel from 15 April to 13 November inclusive.

*If you are hiring a Britz 4WD the kilometre allowance is 300 kilometres per day, thereafter a charge of 0.55 cents per kilometre will apply.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

GST is an Australian Federal Government imposed tax. GST is included in all Britz rates and is currently 10%. Britz reserves the right to amend GST upon Government intervention.

Bedding Kits

Includes pillow, pillowcase, sleeping bag or duvet (doona), sheet and towel per person.

Kitchen Equipment

The kitchen kit includes plates, bowls, knives, forks, spoons, bottle opener, can opener, colander, saucepans, frying pans, cooking utensils, chopping board, kettle, toaster, and tea towel. Electrical appliances are supplied in vehicles that have 240V.

General Equipment

General equipment includes pegs and clothesline, dustpan/brush, fire extinguisher, bucket/hose, broom, matches, coat hangers, ice cube tray and toilet chemicals.

Rate Exclusions

We’re cooking with gas! A gas bottle is necessary for cooking in the RV. A full gas bottle(s) needs to be pre-purchased and can be returned empty to Apollo at the completion of the road trip. Fee applies for each booking of a multiple rental.

Gas bottles for the 2 berth 2wd campervan sand 4WD RVs cost $26. Gas bottles for the 4 Berth and 6 Berth RVs cost $44.

Change of RV

Our RVs can be requested by category, not by make or model. We always do our best to accommodate requests, however thl reserves the right to substitute the booked RV with an alternative available RV without prior notification and at no extra cost. Any changes made to the booked RV and agreed to by the guest shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the guest to a refund.

Outback Safety Kit

For 4WD hires only. The kit includes Emergency Position Indication Radio Beacon (EPIRB), Recovery Board and a folding spade. An EPIRB when activated transmits an emergency distress signal which can be detected by Australian Rescue Authorities. A snatch strap is used to pull a vehicle from a bogged position with the aid of another vehicle.

Protection Package

Personal Injury

The RV has third party insurance cover and it is likely that any other vehicle involved in an accident also has third-party insurance. Depending on the circumstances of an accident, the guest may be entitled to claim for their personal injury against the third-party insurance of the party responsible for the accident. The extent of such third-party insurance varies in different States and Territories and Apollo strongly recommends that all passengers take out their own Personal Injury Travel Insurance.

Apollo does not accept any liability for personal injuries sustained during the rental. Except where such loss or damage is caused by Apollo’s (or that of its employees) own negligence or breach of the Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions. Apollo does not accept liability for any loss or damage to any personal belongings or property of the Customer (or any person or entity related to the customer)

Property Damage

The RV is insured for damage to it and damage to the property of a third party. However, the guest is responsible up to the amount of the applicable liability for damage to third party property, or to the RV. The guest is also responsible for the cost of the daily rate for the period the vehicle is being repaired. There is no refund for unused portion of the rental period. The Liability applies to each claim, not RV.

The liability is applicable regardless of who is at fault and must be paid at the time the accident is reported to Apollo by telephone on a credit card, not on return of the RV. Apollo reserves the right to charge the guest for any RV damage including Third Party property damage not reported but identified on return of the RV.

Liability Options

We understand that everyone has different needs and therefore offer a range of liability options to provide peace of mind. The amount payable for each reduction option is based on the minimum rental period applicable for each RV or total days of RV booking. The maximum charge for liability reduction options is 50 days.

Note: Single vehicle rollover, underbody, and overhead damage are now included in general
liability coverage.

The Bond payment will depend on the Liability Option chosen. If the guest chooses to take ‘The Low Road’ or ‘The Middle Road’ the total Bond will be debited to the credit or debit card immediately.

If the guest chooses to take ‘The High Road’ the Bond is payable to Apollo by an open signed credit card imprint with an authorisation for $250/$500. The credit card holder must be present to sign for the Bond when they pick-up the RV and is liable for any damage to the RV.

The Bond is fully refundable provided our rental contract terms are met. The RV simply needs to be returned on time and full of fuel and with the toilet cassette and grey water tank emptied to the Apollo branch location booked. Credit card refunds (including Bond refunds) can take up to 14 business days depending on the guest’s financial institution.

If there is damage to the RV on its return or any other terms of the rental contract have not been met, the Bond will be used to cover the cost up to the amount of the relevant Liability. If the terms of the Rental Contract are not met and the Bond is not sufficient enough to cover the damage, extra costs will be charged.

If a guest is continuing on with another Apollo RV booking, the Bond can be transferred to the next booking within Australia.

Exchange Rate / Currency Variations

All transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. Due to exchange rate fluctuations, there could be some variance in the amount refunded compared to the amount initially charged. 

4WD Additional Cover

Adventure vehicles only

For 4WD guests who like to venture further afield we offer additional cover. This cover is available when ‘The High Road’ or Value Pack is purchased. For the Apollo Adventure Camper price is $369.00.

The additional cover protects the guest for:

• Accidental damage to the overhead and underbody sections of the 4WD Campervan*
• Unlimited tyre and windscreen cover
• Damage to the awning
• Unlimited kilometres
• $0 Liability ($500 bond) Included with the High Road/ Value Pack
• Towing and RV recovery costs from roads and areas where permission to travel had been granted by Apollo
• Single Vehicle Rollover

*This protection does not cover bogged RVs.

Value Pack - Stress Free

The Value Pack is a bundled extra which provides the highest liability cover option and basic items necessary for a great road trip. The minimum amount payable per rental for Value Pack is the five-day minimum booking period. The maximum amount payable per rental segment is 50 days.

Long Hire Discounts

Guests who love road trips as much as we do and travel for at least 21 days, receive 8% off daily rates. This is also available to guests with multiple bookings that total 21+ days.

Drivers Licence and  Minimum Age

For the safety of our guests a current and full motor vehicle driver licence is required to be shown at pick-up and all drivers need to be present. If the driver licence is not in English then we require an accredited English translation or an International Driver Permit. For travel in the Northern Territory, an International Driving Permit is required along with the foreign driver licence. 

Note: UK driver licences that have had approved extensions by the UK DVLA (Driver and Vehicle Licencing Agency) can still travel for up to 11 months past the licence expiry. This extension only applies to full GB driving licence holders. It does not apply to provisional driving licence entitlement.

Drivers must be over the age of 21, have held a licence for at least two years and the licence must be valid for the entire booking duration.

It is important to select the correct country in which the driver's licence was issued to ensure correct rates are calculated. If the hirer presents a driver’s licence that is from a different country to which the booking was created the guest may incur additional charges.

Multiple Rentals

Should a customer have more than one consecutive rental they can be combined to qualify for longer-term hire discounts off the daily vehicle rates.
Details are on application.

Change of Drop Off Destination

If the customer wishes to change the drop off destination, they must first obtain authorisation from the Reservations or Scheduling departments.

Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge or a relocation fee may apply.

The One Way Fee is non-refundable after pick up.

Vehicle Category

We understand guests’ needs are different and therefore our vehicles can be requested by category, however not by make or model. We always do our best to accommodate requests, however should the vehicle booked be unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, we will substitute the booked vehicle with an alternative available at time of pick-up, at no extra cost. Any changes made to the booked vehicle and agreed to by the guest do not entitle the guest to a refund.

In the event of no alternative vehicle being available to the guest, Apollo's liability is limited to a refund of the hire charge or in the case of mechanical failure (unless caused by the guest) the remainder of the hire period.

Exchange Rate/Currency Variations

All credit and debit card transactions are conducted in Australian dollars. If a refund is due, Britz will credit the amount due in full to the Customer's credit or debit card. Britz does not accept any liability for credit or debit card fees or bank-imposed fees relating to currency conversion or foreign transactions, which may appear as a variation between the total debited and the total refunded.

Calculation Errors

Britz will not honour calculation errors. Should a calculation error occur Britz will charge for the shortfall.

Licence

It is important to select the correct licence type (e.g. International OR Australia/New Zealand) for your booking as some rates are only available to Australian/New Zealand licence holders.
Selecting the incorrect licence type may result in a higher amount being charged at pick up.

A current and full motor vehicle drivers licence is required and must be presented upon vehicle collection. Should a foreign licence be in a language other than English it must be accompanied by a current international driving permit issued in the same country as the drivers licence was issued. An accredited English translation will be accepted in lieu of an international driving permit.

Travel Insurance

For peace of mind, we strongly recommend that all guests take out the highest level of private travel insurance.

Booking Alteration Fee	$50.00 plus any increase in vehicle charges	his fee applies to booking alterations made 60 days prior to pick-up or less. The following are classified as booking alterations: • Change of vehicle type • Change of pick-up location • Change of drop-off location • Change of the pick-up date, excluding booking extension • Change of the drop-off date, excluding booking extension

Additional Items are to be requested at time of reservation or upon vehicle collection and paid by customer on the day of vehicle collection.

Liability reduction option, outdoor table and chairs, extra drivers fees and baby/booster seats are included in the Stress Free Package.

Rental Duration

• Rental days are charged per calendar day. When calculating the number of days a vehicle is rented, the day of pick-up is counted as day one, and the day of return counted as the final day of rental. Vehicles are required to be collected and returned within business hours
• Minimum Rental period is 5 days for same city rentals, with exceptions noted below;
• One-way hires, which are subject to increased minimum hire requirements.
• Minimum rental period is subject to change during peak periods.
• Late Pick-up or early return of vehicle does not entitle the hirer to any refund of the unused portion of the rental.
• If the customer wishes to extend the rental whilst on hire, they must first obtain authorisation from Apollo (call 1800 331 454). The rental extension is subject to vehicle availability. The cost of an extended rental must be paid by credit or debit card over the telephone on confirmation of the rental extension. The rate charged will not reflect the original rate booked. Failure to obtain authorisation will result in a daily fee of $150 in addition to the daily rate.

Additional minimum periods apply as follows, but are subject to change:

• 7 Day minimum hire period for Easter 01 April to 07 April 2026 and 24 March to 31 March 2027.
• 7 Day minimum hire period for Moto GP (dates to be confirmed) in MEL.
• 7 Day minimum hire period for Bathurst (dates to be confirmed) in SYD.
• 7 Day minimum hire period for CMC Rocks (dates to be confirmed) in BNE.
• 7 Day minimum hire period for Christmas 26 December 2026 to 5 January 2027.
• 7 Day minimum hire period for Labour Day Weekend 04 March to 09 March 2027 in MEL.

Travel Restrictions

Not all RVs are suitable for all driving situations, so it’s important the right RV is chosen for the travel planned. thl, at its discretion, may restrict RV travel in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period. If applicable, any further restrictions will be
mentioned at pick-up. Guests are encouraged to contact On-Road Assist on 1800 849 859 or +61 2 6698 4049 if they have any concerns regarding road accessibility.
Guests who travel to restricted areas without permission may void all Liability Cover in the event of damage or accident.

Britz 2WD RVs aren’t equipped for rough terrain and cannot be driven on unsealed roads with exception of well- maintained access roads less than 12 kilometres long which lead to recognised commercial campgrounds and major tourist attraction. 2WD RVs can be driven to any island on sealed roads provided permission is obtained from On-Road Assist prior to travel.

2WD Travel Restriction Table

Britz 4WD RVs are ready to take adventurous travellers off the beaten track, however for their safety, there are restricted travel areas. For restricted destinations listed below, guests are required to nominate expected travel plans with the branch at pick-up and confirm with relevant local authorities that roads are passable prior to travel.

Britz reserves the right at its sole discretion to restrict vehicle movements in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the hire period.

Should a customer breach the road restriction rules by taking a 2WD vehicle on an unsealed road or restricted road, or by taking a 4WD vehicle on a restricted road; Apollo may impose a fee on the customer of $300 on each occasion that is identified by Britz.

Apollo at its discretion may restrict RV travel in certain areas due to adverse road or weather conditions, and the distance to nominated destinations in relation to the length of the rental period. If applicable, any further restrictions will be mentioned at pick-up. Guests are encouraged to contact Apollo Assist at 1800 849 859 if any concerns regarding road accessibility.

Snow & Alpine Areas

For safety reasons and in accordance with THL's Terms and Conditions, campervans and motorhomes must not be driven on snow-covered or alpine roads, including access roads to ski fields. Snow chains are not supplied with hire vehicles, and driving in snow conditions is prohibited. Travellers wishing to visit alpine regions should plan to stay in nearby towns and use local shuttle buses or tour operators to access ski fields and other alpine attractions.

Change of Drop-Off Destination

If the customer wishes to change the drop-off destination after the rental has commenced, they must first obtain authorisation from Reservations. Subject to the change being approved, an additional charge of up to AU$750 may apply.

Kilometres

For the safety of guests please don’t underestimate the time it will take to drive from one point to another. While our 2WD RVs include unlimited kilometres, we recommend travelling a maximum of 250 kilometres per day or the equivalent of 4-5 hours driving. We encourage our guests to take a break from driving at least every 2 hours.

Our 4WD rates include 300 kilometres per day, however, should a little more adventure be needed, an unlimited kilometre package is available before or at time of pick-up for $299.00. If the unlimited kilometre package is not selected any excess kilometres will be charged at 0.55 centre per kilometre, payable on return.

Repairs

We understand that while on holiday the vehicle may require small repairs. So not to disrupt the road trip any further, if the damage was not caused by the guest, repairs up to $100 can be completed without authorisation and will be reimbursed. If repairs over $100 are needed, the Apollo Assist team should be informed prior to repair being completed.

All vehicles are enrolled in the Australian Automobile Association and 24hr mechanical emergency roadside assistance is available if needed simply contact Apollo Assist at 1800 331 454.

Multiple Rentals

Should a customer have more than one consecutive rental they can be combined to qualify for longer-term hire discounts off the daily vehicle rates. Details are on application.

Rentals In Broome

A remote location fee of AU$875 applies to all rentals picking up or dropping off in Broome. Only one remote location fee is charged per vehicle. This is in addition to the one-way fee (if applicable). The fee applies per rental.

Rentals In Hobart

A location fee of AU$120 applies to all rentals picked up from Hobart.

Transfers

Britz clients will need to make their own way from the airport to the Britz branch, at their own cost.

Rental Extensions

If you are having so much fun that you want to extend your booking whilst on the road, they should first contact our friendly Reservations crew who will be happy to advise if the extension is possible, and the associated costs. To secure an extension, the extra costs (calculated on the current rate of the day), will need to be paid by credit
card inclusive of all taxes and surcharges, either over the phone or at a thl Branch at the time of extension. Any long- term discounts in place will continue to apply to the booking. We will always do our best to accommodate any extensions, subject to vehicle availability.

Tolls, Infringements and Administration Fees

thl will pass on any charges the guest receives for traffic infringements, toll, or parking fines during their road trip. For toll way fees received, thl will charge the guest’s credit or debit card upon receiving the toll way notice, along with an administration fee of $1.70 per charge. If thl cannot nominate the guest for traffic infringements or traffic fines the guest incurs, thl reserves the right to charge the guest’s credit card for the full amount of the traffic infringement or traffic fine. thl will make reasonable attempts to issue the traffic infringement or traffic fine to the guest. An
administration fee of up to $77.00 to cover associated administrative costs per traffic infringement or parking fine received may be charged.

Customer Care On-Road Assistance

Any problems associated with the vehicle, including equipment failure, must be reported to Britz as soon as possible and within 24 hours in order to give Britz the opportunity to rectify the problem during the rental. Failure to do so may impact any claims for compensation. We do not accept liability for any claims submitted after this period.

Change of Vehicle

Should the vehicle booked be unavailable through unforeseen circumstances, Britz reserve the right to substitute an alternative vehicle without prior notification and at no extra cost. This shall not constitute a breach of contract and does not entitle the hirer to a refund.

Voluntary Downgrade

Should the hirer decide to take a lesser vehicle than booked they will not be entitled to any refund.

Vehicle Age

All Britz vehicles are up to a maximum of 4 years of age.

Cancellation and Amendments

You must put any request to Cancel or Amend in writing or we cannot action. The date of the email will determine the following Cancellation fees:

For bookings made from 15 September 2025, the following fees apply:

• If cancelled 61+ days prior to pick-up – Loss of deposit or 20% (whichever is greater)
• If cancelled 60 to 31 days prior to pick-up - Loss of deposit or 20% + $250.00
• If cancelled 30 to 7 days prior to pick-up - 40% of Total Rental
• If cancelled less 6 days or less prior to pick-up - 70% of Total Rental
• If cancelled on the day of pick-up or no show - 100% of Total Rental
• There is no refund for late pick-up of an RV.

Original pick-up date or the earliest confirmed pick-up date is used to calculate the cancellation fee.

Note Failure to pay the balance by the due date will result in the reservation being cancelled, with applicable fee incurred as per the date of cancellation being processed.

Amendments: If a bookings travel dates are amended within the cancellation fee period to be outside of the cancellation fee period and is subsequently cancelled, the cancellation fee for the original booking will apply.

$50 per change. This applies but is not limited to changing the client name, vehicle type, reducing the number of rental days, changing the pickup dates or locations. If rental is shortened, no refund will be given on the initial deposit. In addition, if an amendment is made inside 14 days of pick up, the rental will be charged at the number of days originally booked. A relocation fee may also apply if the collection or return location is amended. Where the hire is being extended, the amendment fee will not apply.

If the amendment results in changing vehicle brands your deposit may not transferable.
Amendments may result in the daily rental rate to be recalculated at the rate applicable on the date of the amendment for the entire rental period.

Any amendments within cancellation time period is subject to the supplier providing permission to amend the travel dates, or cancel the reservation and having to re-book.

Change of rate scheme including special rates. If the rate scheme or vehicle category is changed, this is considered a new booking and cancellation fees may apply to the original booking.

If a bookings travel dates are amended within the cancellation fee period to be outside of the cancellation fee period and is subsequently cancelled, the cancellation fee for the original booking will apply.

Note If you amend your reservation to travel at a later date, the due date for your balance payment will not change, it will be payable as per the original booking payment due date.

Important

Britz reserves the right to refuse any rental at its discretion.

Animals

We believe fur friends can only make a road trip better. Pet dogs and cats are allowed to travel in Britz, Apollo, Mighty Campers and MightyLITE Campers. A pet fee applies. Service dogs are permitted in all RVs. If a vehicle is returned soiled by a pet, thl reserves the right to charge an extra cleaning fee. Smoking and Drugs

Our RVs are a smoke free, vape free and drug free zone; hence smoking or drugs are not permitted in any of our RVs

Other Things You Need To Know

Apollo reserves the right to refuse any rental at our discretion.

While on their road trip guests are responsible for:

• Damage caused where the terms of Rental Contract have not been met of the guest (other than when a third party damage admits fault and provides full contact and licence details).
• Damage caused by negligence and/or wilful conduct.
• Damage caused to the vehicle in any way by part or total water submersion or salt water. It’s true, our vehicles can’t swim.
• Damage caused to tyres and windscreen except where ‘Value Pack’  has been purchased and applies.
• Damage caused to the vehicle when using the RV in contravention of any legislation or regulation controlling vehicular traffic.
• Damage caused due to a single vehicle roll over except where the ‘Value Pack’,‘4WD Additional Cover’ or ‘Single Vehicle Rollover’ has been purchased and applies.
• Damage and associated costs with recovery of a bogged vehicle.
• Damage or loss caused to any personal belongings.
• Damage caused due to use of incorrect or contaminated fuel.
• Damage to the underbody or overhead of the RV except where the ‘Value Pack’ has been purchased and applies.
• Damage to the awning of the RV except where ‘4wd Additional Cover’ has been purchased and applies.
• Our RVs are equipped with a tracking device. Apollo reserves the right to send warnings to guests that are driving in contradiction to the terms and conditions, or exceeding the speed limits. Guests that continuously ignore the warnings may be subject to a penalty fee of $300 charged on each occasion identified.

Where children sit

All children aged seven years and under must travel in an approved child restraint. The type of
restraint required for each child depends on their age and size. Guests must refer to the child restraint guideline for the appropriate child restraint. A maximum of two child restraints can be fitted to RVs (model dependent).

Returning the RV

The RV is a home away from home and for comfort, we recommend it’s kept tidy throughout the road trip. The RV needs to be returned to the branch in the condition that it was taken, with full LPG bottle/s, full tank of fuel, with the tank full of AdBlue (where applicable), with the interior cleaned as well as the holding tanks and toilet cassette (where applicable) emptied. The RV exterior does not require cleaning unless it’s covered with excessive dirt or mud, making it difficult for our team to see its return condition. The Drop and Go Pack or Refuelling Pack are available to be pre-purchased or added on at pick-up for a quick and easy return.
