Vehicle Class :
Vehicle was nice and tidy and drove well, however the battery charger was quite noisy and kept us awake at night so that we had to turn it off. Also the gas cooker had only working pit, we managed after a few days to get a second pit going.
Back Door hard to open. Kitchen equipment deficient. No fry pan. Toaster not working. Bedding kit was hired comprising sheets and thin doona. It was not warm enough for 5 degree nights. Holiday was successful and we were able to go where we wanted to. Found parking difficult in supermarket car parks, but got by OK!
Worked well with minor problems. Good mileage and good set up.
It was great.Might rent one with a little more room next time(4 person for two etc.)but all in all very satisfactory. Need flexible tubing for the grey water disposal and a mirror right on the back for reversing(see the bumper)would be helpful.
Everything was as we expected. Had a great trip thanks.
Fantastic vehicle! Only thing was the windscreen wipers were terrible! We got quite alot of rain on our trip. The doona we were given smelt terrible and we had to take it and have it cleaned. But this only cost us a few dollars and we were happy again.
Hi the vehicle was great and did the job, I would probably go for a 4 berth for more space, so we could leave the bed down for the journey. We have a booking for New Zealand pick the van up on 5th April looking forward to it.
Very happy with the campervan, Everything ran good after having to install a new battery for camper end of van. Good fuel economy.
everything was fine!
A good three weeks in Tasmania. You do have a lot of winding roads and steep hills. The van coped well with that and the scenery was magnificent. A major change from our trip "up the middle" last year. Lots of walking and looking.
Thanks for the trip, Ivan and Alison Todd, Whangamata.
would have liked an awning and also an outside light would have been helpful as we sat outside eating. also at least one toilet roll would have been usefull we did have one with us but not everyone would have a step as it was difficult for my husband to get in and out due to knee problems. other than these items the van was brilliant
the camper were clean tidy very reliable, and if we do it again we will definately use a cheapa campervan.
for two people it was the way to go. You could stop wherever you liked and have a cup of coffee, enjoy the view or have a nap. More flexible and comfortable that driving a car and having to stay in motels.
Vehicle ran well but the cabinet finishes were all peeling off. Access awkward to camper area when seats made into bed.
Vehicle would have been great if everything had worked - battery for fridge and shower didnt recharge first two weeks. Otherwise it is very nice car for two people.
we had a great trip and the vehicle was adequate and what we paid for.
We collected our camper from Darwin, traveled through the N.T. as far as Ayers Rock, returning camper at Alice Springs, this was definatley a great experience from my husband and I, the camper was plenty big enough for us and it included shower and toilet, and as I was the driver it was a dream to drive, will certainley hire a camper again.
Great size. Good value. Everything we needed. Not too cramped. Access from the front seats useful. We were always t campgrounds so never used the shower, but the toilet was useful in the middle of the night. I was happy with our choice. We hired for 9 days.
Ran very well, easy to handle, ample storage, confortable bed. Back door was letting water in when the vehicle was running in rain. Enough water to soak the seat cushions. Back door latch was difficult to open from inside and needs fixing.
hi, i think that we must have been up-graded as we had a great vehicle complete with t.v. We had no problems and were completly satisfied. The only difficulty was with the table which was harder to put in place than a rubic cube
Good vehicle, rated 3 star because it was a little tired inside (which was to be expected) however cleanliness of curtains was not good and should be addressed, other than that the vehicle was serviceable and worked well, though cabin airconditioning failed on 2nd week which was a bit of a pain. But overall you get what you pay for. so no complaints. The Service pack (cutlery table chairs etc) was adequate however would buy my own next time for comfort reasons but that is personal, having fully comp ins, stress free package was worth every penny, rule - rent the best you can afford, we would upgrade next time to a newer vehicle with an awning, but would always buy the stress free package.
The VW diesel van was good and easy to drive, very economical on fuel. It was our first try at camper van-ing and we decided to go for a slightly cheaper, older vehicle, which was perfectly adequate and comfortable for our needs. Very happy with our choice.
Paid premium to have all extras included - disappointed at shortfall in equipment supplied. e.g. 2 towels not sufficient for 7 days. 2 only thin pillows not sufficient. Duvet too light for Blue Mountains temperatures - extra blankets necessary. Toilet chemical oversupplied and charged for - would have appreciated refund of chemical not used. Toilet electric flush did not work. Fresh water, waste water, cooking and gas systems all good and worked well.
The vehicle was very good very comfortable, had few problems with locked cupboards opening on bumpy roads. Overall very happy
As advertised the unit had a good deal of work. About 180,000k. Mechanically very good. The cabin was noisy from loose fittings and until we paid special attention to wrapping the crockery and cutlery, this contributed to the cabin noise. the lay out in the vehicle suited us very well. the bed was very comfortable and changing from day to night configuration and back again was no problem. The size of the unit suited us very well, easy to drive. Certainly would recommend to anyone else looking for a similar vehicle.
Service Battery run out of charge in very few ours. The van was a bit old and need better maintenance
The vehicle was good and confortable. Only 2 consideration: only one blanket was provided and the fridge was really too noisy we had to switch it off during the night
Nice to drive, very roomy, thirsty on the fuel.
The van was very comfortable and we enjoyed our holiday very much. The air conditioner didnt work at all and the fridge defrosted at a non powered site once we accepted that and got on with the holiday all was well.I feel the maintenance on the campervan could have been better
Vehicle was great for 2 people. Enough space and well equipped. We felt it was a great compromise size - big enough not to feel too cramped, small enough to drive. No major hassles, equiment all functioning. Curtains & covers could have used a wash but no other problems.
Only comment would be that storage baskets or more shelves would be useful instead of having to stack stuff on top of things in cupboards. Great staff in Perth office, very friendly and helpful.
van had no curtains in it so we had to ask for them and install ourself. very rattly as you travel but for the price it was tolerable.
The vehicle was clean, well maintained, comfortable and relatively easy to drive. The auto/manual transmission took some time to get used to. The vehicle was very fuel efficient.
nice experience driving this vehicle. No problems whatsoever.
Apart from toilet stinking and shower door falling off, vehicle drove well Faulty GPS that turned its self off or said you have reached your destination half way there.
comfortable but a little tired. could use fly screens on windows pick up a liitle slow but very friendly service, overall experience good
From Adelaide to Darwin, we held a speed of not much more than 90 kmh. We were upgraded to a long wheel base low milage VW. It used a little over 10 litres per 100 kms. Very good we thought. Our only problem was parking in city areas. Small things, jug would not turn off, cutlery drawer not used for cutlery, rather they were stored lower down in the cupbd on a portable rack.
The Vehical drove realy well and it was great on fuel. we felt it took way to long to get processed when we pick up the van as it wasnt ready for us when we arrived and still wasnt ready after watching the DVD on the van and its operations, so that set us back quite a few hours in driving time as we had a tight schedual to get to Darwin and the Van wasnt as clean as we would have liked the toilet was very smelly and the cubbards would fly open if we put food in them so we had to store all our food on the bed while travelling.
Great- 3.5 stars Was just what we needed as we did not have power or facilities where we were staying! Only very minor things- The table moved around when we were driving as we could not tighten it up enough to stay in one place and we could not find anything to use to put under the grill ie a metal draw or sliding plate! Also without power we were not able to use the heater so a blanket or two would have been wonderful. Only small things but the grill and a blanket would have made us more comfortable!! Other than that the van was so easy to drive and had everything we needed in it. Was wonderful to have a fold out table and chairs to enjoy the many views of WA! Having nil excess also allowed us to feel more relaxed!
Except for our initial problem with the fridge it is brilliant vehicle!
Everything was in excellent condition
The vehicle was a little dated although clean. The television did not work and the dvd player only worked for a few days. I feel these are things that should be checked before renting out. However we appreciate that we were giving a bigger van.
Rated a 3 star because thats what we wanted. Only reason a three star is the interior upholstery was a little tired. Fully expected on an older model vehicle.
was very happy with our camper, will use this compnay again.
The cushions were a bit grubby but otherwise the vehicle was ideal for two people.
This was the second time we had hired a 2 Berth camper once in NZ and once in Australia we found them with plenty of room for the two us as well as our golf clubs. Would be happy to hire again
We had a great time ,camper wss very clean and well stocked with all you needed. We would certainly hire again. M. Coward.Altona Vic.
A good camper overall but a bit too small even for 2 people and a bit cold (no insulation at all). Next time we would use the next size up.
