Worried about the clutch but had no problems
There is a metal hook on the fridge near where you open it that we kept banging our legs on! Resulted in alot of bruises! It Became a competition in the end to who had the most! But other than that the van was excellent and we wanted to take it home!
It was a Hi-Ace Hi-top, manual. The vehicle was in very good condition and, as it was our first campervan safari, we liked the way it was set-out. We prefer the kitchen in the back where other companies had their Hi-Ace hi-tops kitchens in the front behind the driver seat. The camper was surprisingly fuel efficient, considering the height.
The only issue we discovered was that in high winds the campervan can sway / shake quite badly. Nothing to do with your operation, just the body of the campervan.
Considering the journey, and possibly renting a campervan this year in NZ, I would opt for the same model. Well done.
Brilliant vehicle. Perfect for couples with everything you need for 2 weeks travelling around Tasmania.
The van we had was fine,we had no problems with it apart from a puncture on the first day.
perfect for our needs, felt like an old friend by the end of the week
A near new Toyota Hi-Top. Layout very good. TV would suit better on end of shelf nearest to foot of bed. We read rather than actually use it. Excellent to drive. Solar kept us with lights when camping. Loved this vehicle.
WE WERE VERY HAPPY GENERALLY WITH THE VEHICLE. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE TURNING CIRCLE WHICH WAS A PROBLEM ON A COUPLE OF INSTANCES WE WERE MOST HAPPY.
A SHORT READOUT COULD BE MADE AVAILABLE CONCERNING THE ADAPTATION OF THE TABLE INTO A BED.WE THOUGHT THAT THE TABLE WOULD CONVERT INTO A BED BUT THE RIGID TIGHT FEEL LEFT US AVOIDING ANY FORCE, HENCE THE READ WOULD ENSURE CAMPERS KNEW.
Fantastic clean camper with all the amenities we needed.
Vehicle excellent for our purposes and I am 66 and 6 ft 5 inches (bed was tight though). Surprised how much power existed given the overall weight.
There are better internal configurations but value for money this was the one for us
The van was great,It catered to all our needs.
We had a great stress free trip. Steven loved the vehicle, so easy to drive and power amazing. We would not go any where else.
Excellent little van just perfect for two people to zip around in We did 1300km in 8 days with no worries. If we rented again we would probably get a larger van where the bed was made up all the time. However we stayed on bush sites three nights with no power and were pretty warm and just had to wear a trackie to bed. The battery and solar power were excellent and more than adequate without a powered site. Everything in the van was top notch and in excellent condition. Thanks very much.
Easy to drive and reasonably comfortable ride. Would not recomend any more that two adults and one child as very compact.
A very comfortable easy vehicle to drive, the living set up was great, plenty of storage.
We were very impressed with the vehicle. It was running fantastic. The in and outside were impeccable.
Was perfectly fine. high liability on unsealed roads only negative thing.
The working of the car was exelent over the 2700 km. we did We will consider New Zeeland next year and will certenly be in contac again.
The vehicle is good , easy to drive and plenty of power.
First time travelling in a campervan. Just loved it. Unbelievably comfortable with everything you could need. ..We just opened up the cupboards and sure enough there it was.
Vehicle was fine. Bed at back of van would be an even better configuration.
Van was excellent. The hanging space cupboard would be work better as a shelves (like the other cupboard). Great service.
almost brand new. handled extremely well given the conditions.well set out and very practical.a very enjoyable experience
Great vehicle, no problems at all.
The vehicle was very well equipped and ideal size for Tasmania - we were very pleased with it - also economical from a fuel perspective!
good truck with heaps of power and comforts
Campervan drove very well!
I think our problem was we chose the wrong size campervan, I think we should have taken a campervan that the bed was made up all the time.
Regards
Margaret.
The vehicle was very comfortable and was well equipped except that it did not have a gas toasting appliance for camping out. Also a microwave bowl would have been handy as we like to have porridge when the weather is cool.
We intend to travel to New Zealand again in the not too distant future and when there last, had a 4 berth motorhome but consider that the vehicle that we had in Tasmania was superior.
Vehicle was in good condition and functioned perfectly throughout the trip. A totally enjoyable holiday.
The vehicle was great for Tasmania - Well equipped and good design
Easy to Drive, with heaps of power. Power cord and hose needed to be longer, with tap fittings for the hose just in case there are none at the tap. Overall an awesome set-up
great vehicle and equipment, enjoyed having a DVD player and flat screen TV, easy to drive with, comfy bed. the booking process was easy and very friendly staff to deal with. we were asked to upgrade prior to your holiday and that was the best we could have done. So, thanks a lot! Was a lot of fun in beautiful Tassie! Sandra La Tona and Helen Chapple
WE BROKE DOWN BUT THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. IN NO TIME AT ALL WE WERE PROVIDED WITH A NEW VEHICLE...JUST THE SAME...FELT LIKE THE SAME ONE..ONLY CLEAN SHEETS AND TOWELS AND A FULL TANK OF FUEL
van was great had a problem with bed collapsing on first nite top marks to manager at laucsenton he sorted prob out was very helpful small ext lead and 4 pin power board would have been handy otherwise a great little camper
first time holidaying in a camper and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. found the kitchen area to be very squashed but soon worked out workable system with minimal space. appreciated the fact that we could pull up where ever to stop for lunch/overnight and had access to back up power to enjoy tv. Tv stations however did not pick up great reception, external arial would possibly assist the problem. would definitely use campervan again but possibly look at larger model.
Very good to drive. A vehicle instruction book would have been handy. The vehicle was very comfortable.
We noted that there was no smoke alarm in the living area. Also there was no toast rack for using on the gastop if camping out. Also a couple of small containers for leftovers would have been handy. Also the vehicle that we had, I am not sure that the fridge had a very good seal. The gas oven was in need of a good scrub, as no adequate cleaning materials were supplied to do this task. Also there was not anything to clean the windscreen.
Great little van. We had two adults and a 4 year old. Plenty of room up top for him and the double be was surprisingly comfortable. Loved being able to run on the battery at un powered sites. Kitchen and equipment was just right and we cooked up some great meals. Tried to use the telle which did,nt seem to pick up any thing so a dvd would be better, but we had a little portable.
Vehicle was comfortable and well-equipped. Unfortunately one window leaked but we were compensated for that inconvenience.
The vehicle was in great condition and well equiped.
Easy to drive although it was slow up hills, you need to go in a lower gear than when you are in a normal car.
Although overall the service and camper experience was great, there were a few problems such as no radio and very little TV reception although I was able to pick up radio reception in the cab of the vehicle.
It was great to be able to camp in alternative places due to having a portaloo and shower, this made the trip more exciting than just staying in caravan parks, and it was cheaper too!
The vehicle as presented was first rate the only issue that we had was the refridgerator had some vibration at the rear. It was not noticable during the day however at night it was a different story.
This was the first time we had hired a campervan and although after the first night we wondered how we would manage in such a confined space by the last night we were most comfortable and sad that the adventure was over.
Vehicle ran well and the equipment supplied was excellent. Fridge etc all performed to expectations and the bed was better than expected.
Very good experience but the electric kettle never worked which made it a pain at times.
Good to drive. Comfortable for two adults. Excellent turning circle. No TV reception in areas visited so a DVD player might have been more useful. We may well return to Tasmania in the future and would certainly be happy to book with Discovery again.
Very clean comfortable and very well equipped the only thing that annoyed us was the cutlery drawer that moved with the motion of the van and you could not open the sliding doors below a clip or something would have stopped that.
clean , tidy , comfortable, and lots of fun everything you needed.
Need a few little things fixing nothing
major.
We felt the vehicle could have a slightly better design for ease of manoeverabilty, e.g. sleeping area would be better suited to rear of van and fridge door when opened gave very little movement to remove/add items. Also, there as a small hook on top of fridge door which often snagged clothes or body when passing. Otherwise all good and a most enjoyable holiday. Thanks to all concerned.
